Ramadan Project 2021 with Muslim Welfare Canada (MWC)

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” (Muhammed Ali)
As we all know the economic aftermaths of the COVID-19 pandemic have fallen with more severity on those in our community with more limited means and protection, such as part-time & self-employed workers and those who own their own small businesses.

Thus CSMA did not initiate any projects in 2020 and instead we helped two projects in Sri Lanka with whatever the emergency funds we had in our coffers. A couple of weeks back, when CSMA was approached to launch a fund raising drive to help out the Muslim Welfare Canada (MWC) in their Ramadan project of feeding 3000 families, we were a little hesitant but decided to go forth with a target of $2000.

Alhamdulillah! I’m happy to let you know, yesterday (7th May, 2021), CSMA donated $21,200 worth of Dole food products along with a cash contribution of $4680 for a total value of  $25,880 to Muslim Welfare Canada.
With your steady support and unflinching generosity, we actually more than doubled our initial target. We collected a total of $4680 just under 3 weeks. I realize you have toiled hard for the money that you donated to us. I appreciate it and am thankful. Words are fleeting, and I want you to know that a simple “thank you” doesn’t do justice to how deeply I appreciate your generosity.
I do thank the Dole Food Company for this princely contribution and for their resolute support of CSMA in all of its endeavours.

Before I wrap up and welcome the last weekend of the blessed month of Ramadan, let me remind you that people often say that money can’t buy you love, and that’s a fact. However, you have shown your love for others through your money.

Donations from wildly courteous, lavish, and kind-hearted people like you make us at CSMA keep doing what we’re doing. You are the fuel to our fire.

جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ خَيْرًا
